ShipStation and NetSuite,
shipping natively automated
In8Sync DirectConnect connects ShipStation to NetSuite — orders push out for label generation, tracking numbers and fulfillments return automatically, and every shipment reconciles without manual entry.
What syncs between ShipStation and NetSuite
Every data flow between ShipStation and NetSuite is event-driven — no polling windows, no batch delays.
NetSuite Sales Orders push to ShipStation the moment they are approved — with full line items, ship-to address, carrier preferences, and service level — ready for rate shopping and label generation.
When ShipStation marks a shipment shipped, In8Sync DirectConnect creates the corresponding NetSuite Item Fulfillment record — closing the order loop without any manual step.
Carrier tracking numbers assigned in ShipStation post back to the NetSuite Sales Order and Item Fulfillment records automatically — giving your team and customers real-time shipment visibility.
The carrier, service level, and rated cost selected in ShipStation — across USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and regional carriers — write back to NetSuite for landed-cost reporting and GL allocation.
NetSuite Return Authorizations generate return labels in ShipStation. Scanned returns in ShipStation trigger NetSuite Item Receipts and credit memo workflows automatically.
Batch label runs in ShipStation — covering hundreds of shipments at once — reconcile back to NetSuite with per-order fulfillment records and carrier costs applied to the correct transactions.
Orders sourced from multiple channels — Shopify, Amazon, eBay — consolidate in NetSuite and route to ShipStation with the correct warehouse, carrier, and packing slip for each marketplace.
ShipStation warehouse and store locations map to NetSuite subsidiary and location records — ensuring every fulfillment posts to the correct inventory and GL accounts.
Three steps to go live
In8Sync DirectConnect is listed on SuiteApp.com. Install it directly inside NetSuite — no external server, no separate vendor login, no iPaaS subscription required.
Our team configures carrier mappings, ShipStation store-to-NetSuite-subsidiary mappings, and every custom field on your Item Fulfillment records — including custom body fields and multi-location inventory.
Connect your ShipStation account in two clicks. Orders begin flowing to ShipStation and fulfillments return to NetSuite in real time from that moment forward.
Built differently
ShipStation compares rates across USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and regional carriers. In8Sync DirectConnect sends the selected carrier and cost back to NetSuite — no one copies tracking numbers or carrier charges by hand.
In8Sync DirectConnect is a SuiteApp installed directly inside your NetSuite account — no separate integration platform, no per-label pricing, no third-party server in the data path between your ERP and your shipping platform.
Every shipment — carrier, service, cost, tracking number, and ship date — is written back to the originating NetSuite Sales Order and Item Fulfillment, giving finance and operations a single audit record per transaction.
Common questions
Does In8Sync DirectConnect require an iPaaS or middleware platform to connect ShipStation and NetSuite?
No. In8Sync DirectConnect is a SuiteApp installed directly inside your NetSuite account. There is no external integration platform, no per-event fee, and no third-party server between your ERP and ShipStation.
Which ShipStation carriers are supported?
All carriers available in your ShipStation account are supported — USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and any regional carriers you have connected. Carrier and service selection data returns to NetSuite for every shipment.
Can In8Sync DirectConnect handle multiple ShipStation stores mapped to different NetSuite subsidiaries?
Yes. Each ShipStation store can be mapped to a specific NetSuite subsidiary, location, and GL account — supporting multi-entity and multi-location NetSuite configurations.
How are return labels and RMAs handled?
NetSuite Return Authorizations trigger return label creation in ShipStation. When the return is received and scanned, In8Sync DirectConnect creates the corresponding NetSuite Item Receipt and initiates the credit memo workflow.
What happens if ShipStation is temporarily unavailable?
In8Sync DirectConnect includes a built-in retry queue. Events are held and retried on exponential backoff — no orders or fulfillment records are lost during a ShipStation outage.
